    Brittany R. Pierick, U.W 2014, has joined the Madison office of Peterson, Johnson & Murray S.C. as an associate. She previously was with Jardine, Logan & O’Brien, Minneapolis.

    Meghan Roed, U.W. 2012, has joined Koritzinsky & Karls LLC, Madison, as an associate, continuing to focus on special-needs planning, probate, consumer bankruptcy, estate planning, and elder law. She also works in real estate matters, landlord-tenant law, and collections.

    Kelsey Schmidt, U.W. 2015, has joined the Milwaukee office of Ogletree Deakins as an associate and focuses on employment law matters.

    Travis T. SchreursTravis T. Schreurs, Marquette 2011, has joined the De Pere office of Stellpflug Law S.C. as an associate. His primary practice areas are criminal defense, divorce and family law, litigation and trials, and municipal law.

    Aaron M. Simon, Minnesota 2003, has joined Brownson & Linnihan PLLP, Minneapolis, and focuses in professional liability representation of insurance agents and agencies, toxic torts, asbestos litigation, and insurance coverage litigation.

    MaiVue K. XiongMaiVue K. Xiong, U.W. 2010, has been elected shareholder with Weld, Riley, Prenn & Ricci S.C., Eau Claire. She is a member of the business section and advises clients in business transactions, banking and financing services, real estate, landlord-tenant, and intellectual property law. John Robert Behling, U.W. 2000, has rejoined the firm and practices in frac sand, mining and minerals, governmental relations, and administrative and environmental law. He previously was general counsel and executive vice president of regulatory affairs for Smart Sand Inc.

    Erik K. Eisenmann, George Washington 2007 high honors, Patrick M. Harvey, Michigan 2007, and Philip R. Koutnik, Marquette 2008 cum laude,have been elected shareholders with Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C., all in the Milwaukee office. Eisenmann is with the human resources law practice group and represents employers in labor and employment law. Harveyis with the litigation practice group and focuses on commercial, bankruptcy, constitutional, civil rights, personal injury defense, employment, and fraudulent conveyance litigation matters. Koutnik is with the corporate and finance practice group, co-leads the corporate transactions team, and works with the emerging companies team.

    Kevin R. Du, U.W. 2012, Eric R. Hansch, U.W. 2014 cum laude, and Stephen R. Tumbush, Toledo 1982, LL.M. (taxation) Florida College of Law, have joined the corporate and finance practice group in the firm’s Madison office. Du and Tumbush are with the corporate transactions team. Hansch is with the corporate transactions, commercial finance, and commercial real estate teams.

    Appointments, Elections

    Gina Carter, Georgetown 1986 with honors, has been elected to the board of Santa Rosa, Calif.-based RCU Services Group (RCUSG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Redwood Credit Union. Carter is a shareholder and head of the credit union law team at the Madison office of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C.

    Michael W. Drumke, U.W. 1991,a partner with Swanson, Martin & Bell LLP, Chicago, recently finished a year as chair of the ABA Tort Trial and InsurancePractice Section.

    Bryan C. EschBryan C. Esch, U.W. 1997 cum laude, has been appointed to the executive committee of DeWitt Ross & Stevens, Madison. He also is chair of the firm’s business practice group and focuses on business, mining and natural resources, real estate, and estate planning.

    Several lawyers have been named team leaders at Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. Ross A. Anderson, Marquette 1978 magna cum laude,has become co-leader of the business and commercial litigation team.He is a shareholder in the Milwaukee office, the firm’s general counsel, and the firm’s only elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates’ Wisconsin Chapter. He is a member of the construction services-, professional liability-, and business and commercial-litigation teams.

    Angela Black, U.W. 2002, has become co-leader of the real estate practice group. She is a shareholder in the Madison office and a member of the commercial real estate, commercial finance, construction services, and communications law teams.

    Phillip R. Bower, Georgetown 2004, has been named leader of the environmental law team. He is a shareholder in the Madison office.

    The Hon. Donald R. Zuidmulder, U.W. 1968, Brown County Circuit Court, has been selected by chief judges from across the state to chair the Committee of Chief Judges. Zuidmulder replaces outgoing chair Judge Jeffrey A. Kremers, Milwaukee County Circuit Court, who served the maximum three two-year terms as a chief judge.

    Pro Bono, Public Service

    The first firmwide summer hunger campaign of Quarles & Brady LLP raised equivalent funds to provide nearly 130,000 meals to hungry children and families across its hometown office locations.
