Michael G. Carter, North Carolina 1988, has been promoted to

Jennifer Kopps-Wagner, U.W. 1996, has been promoted to senior

American citizen services section at the U.S. Embassy in San Jose, Costa

John C. Cabaniss, Wayne State 1981, has opened
Cabaniss Law Office, 10200 N. Port Washington Rd., Mequon, and
focuses on plaintiffs' personal injury work. He

Stellpflug, Janssen, Hammer, Kirschling and Bartels S.C.,
headquartered in De Pere,

Awards, Degrees, Honors
John W. Daniels Jr., Harvard 1974, was honored by
the National Bar Association,
the oldest and largest national association predominately comprised of
African-American
lawyers and judges in the United States, at its annual meeting in
Houston in July.
Daniels, chair of Quarles & Brady LLP, Milwaukee, was recognized for
his professional
achievements and community service.
Correction: The Hon. John A.
Neuenschwander, Chicago-Kent 1983, received the
2008 Lifetime Jurist Achievement Award from the Wisconsin Municipal
Judges Association. He
is city of Kenosha municipal judge and a professor of history at
Carthage College,
Kenosha. Judge Neuenschwander's name was given incorrectly in the July
issue.
Ted M. Warshafsky, U.W. 1952, has been selected by the
American Trial Lawyers
Association as one of the top 100 trial lawyers in the United States. He
is a partner
with Warshafsky, Rotter, Tarnoff & Bloch S.C., Milwaukee.
