Platform Statement
I would be honored to have your vote to represent the State Bar at the Judicial Council. I believe that my qualifications and experience make me a good addition to the Council. I have tried many cases, both criminal and civil, throughout the state and federal courts in Wisconsin. I have had to deal first-hand with the ways the rules of evidence and procedure operate in the real world.
If elected, I will collaborate with the other members of the Council, and will be committed to listening to and sharing the concerns of all State Bar members so that your voice heard by the Council. Thank you for your consideration, and I appreciate your vote.
Biography
Jason D. Luczak leads the criminal and white-collar defense team at Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP in Milwaukee. He is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and serves on its Wisconsin committee. He is a widely sought-after advocate for his experience and skills in handling high-profile, serious cases. A combination of extensive jury trial knowledge paired with a tenacious approach has earned him a reputation as one of Wisconsin's go-to trial lawyers. Luczak is an adjunct professor at Marquette University Law School, where he has taught trial advocacy to future lawyers for over a decade.
Luczak has been recognized for his achievements, including earning the Kuchler-Nicholson-Stilling Sensitive Crimes Award by the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2023 for his successful verdict in a felony assault trial. He has repeatedly earned distinction in the field, being named by the Wisconsin Law Journal as an "Up and Coming Lawyer" early in his career, and more recently as a "Legal All-Star." Luczak was selected as a "Rising Star in Law" and twice as a "Notable Litigator and Trial Attorney" by the Milwaukee BizTimes. He has likewise been named to the Wisconsin Super Lawyer and Best Lawyers in America lists each year.
