    Appointments, Elections

    Michael Cronin, George Mason 2005, and Barbara Zabawa, U.W. 2001, both with the Madison office of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C., have been appointed to special committees of the Wisconsin Joint Legislative Council. Cronin, who focuses on intellectual property matters, has been appointed to the special committee on nanotechnology. Zabawa, who focuses on business and intellectual property litigation, has been appointed to the special committee on health care reform legislation.

    Guy C. Charlton Guy C. Charlton, U.W. 1994, received a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Auckland (New Zealand). He currently is lecturing in law at the Auckland University of Technology.

    Henry L. Cuthbert, U.W. 1983, received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of College and University Attorneys at its 50th annual conference in Washington, D.C. He is associate university counsel at Duke University, Durham, N.C.

    Daniel Treuden, Marquette 2009, received a certificate of appreciation from the Libertarian National Committee for tireless and outstanding representation of the case of ballot-access freedom in the United States. He is with the Bernhoft Law Firm S.C., Milwaukee.

    Ten attorneys from the Milwaukee office of Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman participated in the MC200, a 200-mile relay race. The Hall Render team donated money it raised to the Special Olympics.
