Aug. 13, 2025 – In today’s increasingly AI-driven world, the value of human connection has never been greater. The
State Bar of Wisconsin G. Lane Ware Leadership Academy is built on that principle – helping lawyers expand their networks, strengthen leadership skills, and create lasting support systems.
Recruitment for the 2025-26 Academy is open through Sept. 15, 2025.
“The Leadership Academy was a tremendous benefit to my growth as a leader in so many ways, from networking to presenting to knowing when to say you’re taking on too much,” said Nicole Swails of Wayne Law S.C., Madison.
Participants not only learn practical skills like public speaking and effective networking, but also form bonds that last well beyond the program.
“A wonderful aspect is gaining an amazing new network of friends, colleagues, and supporters!” Swails said. “In a short time, we’ve become each other’s cheerleaders and sounding boards. Not only do you learn how to become and be a great leader, but you have a fantastic group of leaders to do it with.”
