Thanks to the NLRD Board for nominating me for the position of President-Elect. As a newly elected member to the NRLD Board, I have gained insight as to how Wisconsin attorneys view their non-resident colleagues. Thanks our efforts, non-resident attorneys are increasingly viewed as part of the mainstream of the Wisconsin Bar. Through my service, I've gotten to know members of the Board, gaining their respect and confidence.

My BA is from Northwestern and my JD cum laude is from Loyola (Chicago). I was admitted in Illinois in 1974, Wisconsin in 2006 and Arizona in 2012. My firm maintains offices in Kenosha and Milwaukee. My practice focus is bankruptcy and mortgage defense. WHEDA honored our firm with a grant to help people with foreclosure defense. I trained over 500 lawyers throughout Wisconsin. I’ve published in Wisconsin Lawyer, spoken at the State Bar Convention and been active in state bar sections.

I am director of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and co-chair of the Consumer Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bankruptcy Institute. I was co-chair of the ABI's Commercial Fraud Committee. I am the editor and an author of the ABI's Fraud Manual. I also wrote Filing Chapter 13, What you Need to Know.
