The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association is seeking a full-time, motivated attorney, paralegal or individual interested in alternative dispute resolution to join our team as Director of Professional Standards. The primary role of this position is to oversee the statewide professional standards program, ensuring adherence to the Code of Ethics and guiding committees, REALTORS®, and the public through ethics and arbitration processes. In addition, this role develops and delivers professional educational programs and contributes to association publications.
Responsibilities
- Professional Standards Administration & Enforcement: Oversee all aspects of the professional standards process, including requests for arbitration, mediation, ethics, and citations. Coordinate and facilitate hearing panels, provide support and guidance during hearings, offer impartial assistance to consumers and members, and accurately prepare cases for monthly grievance committee review.
- Education, Training & Content Creation: Develop and deliver professional standards education programs and contribute written content to association publications as needed.
- Conference & Event Presentations: Represent the association at conferences, conventions, and other events. Develop and present continuing education courses, professional standards training, and other professional development programs.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Preferred experience with alternative dispute resolution
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics and the implementation of professional standards
- Limited travel required with the state
