    About Corneille Law Group

    Corneille Law Group is a multi-location law firm of dedicated trial lawyers with a strong track record in products liability, professional liability, and medical malpractice.  While the firm has offices in Green Bay and Madison, the firm is expanding into other markets as well, and is open to remote work attorneys depending on geographic location.  Applicants must be highly motivated with strong organizational, writing, and analytical skill and must work well individually and as part of a legal team. As an attorney with our firm, you will independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from intake to conclusion, including through jury trials and the appeals process. Applicants must be in good standing with the State Bar or have the ability to waive in upon accepting the position, and the Federal Courts. Three years of litigation experience is preferred, but not required.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure all deadlines are met.
    • Attend court appearances, including hearings, and trials
    • Preparing witnesses, fact and expert, for depositions
    • Attending depositions to both defend a client at a deposition and to depose an opposing witness, either fact or expert
    • Attend multi day and/or weeks long trials throughout the state
    • Draft pleadings, to include Answers, Discovery Responses, Motions, Briefs, Affidavits and Appeals
    • Consistently identify and summarize key points in medical records.
    • Consistently and professionally communicate through internal and external calls and emails, building relationships with clients.
    • Prepare, edit, and finalize correspondence, legal documents, transcription, memos, and other materials as required.
    • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as fee agreements, settlement agreements
    • Proofread all materials for typographical errors, office style conformity, accuracy, and inclusion of required information and enclosures.
    • File documents with the appropriate courts.
    • Assist with continuous client outreach, contact, and relationship building.
    • Timely filing and maintenance of paper and electronic documents and records.
    • Track billable hours and expenses.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Excellent organization, time-management, and prioritization skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, Lexis Advance, and Tabs3.
    • Experience or proven knowledge of court documents and procedures.
    • General litigation knowledge.
    • Familiarity with CCAP.
    • Experience with case research.
    • Conduct legal research
