    Assistant City Attorney

    The City of De Pere is looking to fill an Assistant City Attorney position! This position performs professional legal work and is responsible for prosecuting ordinance/traffic offenses, advising officials and department heads, and other legal services for the City as required.     Qualifications:

    1. Juris Doctorate Degree from an ABA accredited law school.
    2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in municipal law and prosecution.
    3. License to practice law in the State of Wisconsin.
    4. Compliance with continuing education requirements.
    5. Valid unencumbered Wisconsin driver’s license and safe driving record.
    6. Notary public commission.
    7. Must have acceptable personal and professional history as determined by successfully completing a background investigation.

    A combination of education and experience may be considered.

    Salary: The full salary range is $70,324 - $96,449 plus an excellent benefit package. Applicants may be hired anywhere within the range, but are typically hired between steps 1 and 6. Step 6 is $80,371.

    Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., including Wednesday evening court, plus occasional evening meetings as required.

    The summer schedule (Memorial Day - Labor Day) for this position is: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., plus additional hours as noted above.
