The City of De Pere is looking to fill an Assistant City Attorney position! This position performs professional legal work and is responsible for prosecuting ordinance/traffic offenses, advising officials and department heads, and other legal services for the City as required. - Juris Doctorate Degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in municipal law and prosecution.
- License to practice law in the State of Wisconsin.
- Compliance with continuing education requirements.
- Valid unencumbered Wisconsin driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Notary public commission.
- Must have acceptable personal and professional history as determined by successfully completing a background investigation.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Salary: The full salary range is $70,324 - $96,449 plus an excellent benefit package. Applicants may be hired anywhere within the range, but are typically hired between steps 1 and 6. Step 6 is $80,371.
Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., including Wednesday evening court, plus occasional evening meetings as required.
The summer schedule (Memorial Day - Labor Day) for this position is: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., plus additional hours as noted above.
