Heartland Woodcraft, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals held that an employee needing an extended leave of two or more months for treatment of a disability is not protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act. In its 2017-18 session, the Wisconsin Legislature continued efforts to reduce the rulemaking authority of state administrative agencies. In the short term, the legislation imposes additional obligations on the agencies and on the legislature itself.
