Johnson, Iowa 2000, is with the tax and employee benefits group in the Milwaukee office. Jonathan R. Ingrisano, Marquette 1999, is in the litigation group in the Milwaukee and Waukesha offices. Gene T. Schaeffer, U.W. 1992, is with the labor and employment group in the Madison office. Daniel J.     Carrie Norbin Killoran, Harvard 1999, has joined Quarles & Brady LLP, Milwaukee, as a partner in the health law practice. She previously was with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare.

    Liz Koch, Virginia 1998, has been promoted to chair of the legal studies division at Concordia University, Mequon, and continues her duties as an assistant professor.

Kopp, U.W. 2002, has become a partner at Lathrop & Clark LLP, Madison, and continues to focus on civil litigation, debtors’ and creditors’ rights, landlord/tenant law, and business law. Mark H.T.     Brian K. Lewallen, Marquette 2001 cum laude, has been promoted to corporate counsel at Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Ill., and manages environmental regulatory compliance issues relating to the company’s North American and Asia-Pacific operations.

    Thomas M. Hruz, Marquette 2002 magna cum laude, and Joshua R. Welsh, Marquette 2003 magna cum laude, have become shareholders at Meissner Tierney Fisher & Nichols S.C., Milwaukee.     Mitchell R. Olson Mitchell R. Olson, Lewis & Clark 1997, has been named a partner with Axley Brynelson LLP, Madison, and continues to focus on civil litigation, real estate, land use and zoning, municipal, insurance, and appellate law.

    Daniel M. Pedriana, Wyoming 1999, has been named a partner at Lindner & Marsack S.C, Milwaukee, and continues to concentrate on worker’s compensation and related employment law matters. Daniel M.

    Julie A. Short, U.W. 1992, has joined the Coalition of Wisconsin Aging Groups, Madison, as managing attorney of the elderly benefit specialist program. She previously was in private practice in Madison and Fort Atkinson.

    Daniel J. Treuden, Marquette 2008, has joined the Bernhoft Law Firm S.C., Milwaukee, as an associate and concentrates in civil and criminal tax defense.

    Two attorneys have joined the Madison office of von Briesen & Roper s.c., now located at 3 S. Pinckney St., Suite 1000. Kraig A. Byron, Wyoming 1992 with honors, focuses on complex business litigation, labor and employment litigation, outdoor advertising law, family law, and general civil litigation. Thomas S. Hornig, U.W. 1972 Order of the Coif, is a shareholder and focuses on business, civil litigation, land use, outdoor advertising law, eminent domain, and estate planning.

    John L. Haslam Daniel B. Purtell John L. Haslam, U.W. 1997, and Daniel B. Purtell, U.W. 1999, have joined Wayne W. Wilson, U.W. 1973, as equity partners and owners of Wilson Law Group LLC, Madison. Haslam focuses on estate and long-term care planning, probate and trust administration, and fiduciary and estate taxation. Purtell focuses on estate planning, including wealth transfer planning, special needs planning, and planning for young families.

    Susan B. Woods, Miami 1994 magna cum laude, has joined Automatic Data Processing Inc. as an employment attorney in the screening and selection services division in Fort Collins, Colo.     Mike Hermes Mike Hermes, U.W. 1992, has opened Hermes Law Ltd., 333 Main St., Suite 601, Green Bay, and focuses on complex litigation. Brandon Evans, George Mason 2005, also is with the new firm.

    Ave M. Bie, U.W. 1990, has been named managing partner of the Madison office of Quarles & Brady LLP, and continues to focus on public utilities and corporate practice.

    Peter C. Stomma, Drake 1991, has become president of Boyle Fredrickson, Milwaukee. Michael J. Gratz, U.W. 1994, vice president, and Timothy E. Newholm, George Mason 1992, secretary, continue on the board. Keith M. Baxter, Georgetown 1984, has become treasurer.

    Carol P. Dabner, U.W. 1995, has been reappointed to the State of Texas Guardianship Certification Board by the Supreme Court of Texas. She is senior counsel at Underwood, Perkins & Ralston P.C., Dallas.

    Gregory Everts, Michigan 1990, has been elected president of the Madison Club Foundation. He is a partner with the Madison office of Quarles & Brady LLP and focuses on business and intellectual property litigation.

    Patrick J. Knight, Marquette 1979, has been elected to the State Bar Health Law Section board. He is a partner with Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, Milwaukee, and focuses on health care, white-collar criminal, and civil litigation matters.
