Admitted to the bar in an odd-numbered year? The Jan. 31 CLE reporting deadline is Feb. 1 – here's what you need to know.
Jan. 28, 2026 – The clock is ticking for “Active” Wisconsin lawyers admitted in an odd-numbered year who still need to complete and report their continuing legal education (CLE) credits for the 2024-25 reporting period.
The final deadline to finish your CLE coursework is Sat, Jan. 31, 2026, with CLE reports due electronically to the Board of Bar Examiners (BBE) by Feb. 1, 2026.
If you’ve waited this long, you’re not alone – but now is the time to act. Here are some quick tips to help you.
Quick Recap: What’s Required?
You need 30 CLE credits every two years (this reporting period applies to “Active” lawyers admitted in an odd-numbered year).
At least 3 credits must be in ethics and professional responsibility (EPR).
“Senior Active” members (age 75+) need only 15 credits, with 3 EPR credits.
Miss the deadline, and you risk late fees – or even license suspension.
Ways to Earn CLE Fast
Track and Report Your Credits
Use the myCLETracker tool on WisBar.org to keep a record of your CLE activities. But remember: myCLETracker is not a reporting tool. You still need to submit your CLE report directly to the BBE through their online eFiling system.
