    Check out some recent happenings in the legal world of Wisconsin.

    Traveling Exhibit. Current American Bar Association (ABA) President Michelle Behnke, former president of the State Bar of Wisconsin (2004-05), and the ABA Standing Committee on the Law Library of Congress donated a traveling exhibit celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence for use by the State Bar and Wisconsin’s legal community groups. The exhibit, through seven banners, explores our founding document’s “heroic and controversial legacy, examining how independence from monarchy promoted democratic principles and upheld the rule of law in America.” All photos by Shannon Green.

    April Admissions. New Wisconsin lawyers. Seventeen attorneys took the Attorney’s Oath before the Wisconsin Supreme Court to become Wisconsin lawyers on April 22, 2026.

    Leadership Summit. Hon. Mary E. Triggiano, now Director of the Andrew Center for Restorative Justice and Clinical Professor of Law at Marquette University Law School, was the keynote speaker for the 2026 Leadership Summit in April.

    May 50-Year Member Celebration. Former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley, class of 1976, was among those honored at the 50-year Member Celebration and Luncheon in May.
