    By Jill Rothstein

As members of the legal profession, we each play a meaningful role in shaping the future of our State Bar of Wisconsin.

Jill RothsteinJill Rothstein, South Carolina 1996, is the executive director for the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Every year, we are reminded that the strength of our profession is built not only on our individual talents but on our collective commitment to shaping a just and vibrant future. The election for State Bar president-elect, who will assume office on July 1, 2026, and will become president after a year as president-elect, is one of the most powerful opportunities we have to shape that future together.

By taking part in this process, you determine the leader who will champion our values, guide our priorities, and support the work that each of you does to advance our profession and serve the public.

The State Bar president influences our strategic priorities, the resources we provide to members, and how effectively we continue to serve the public.

Your vote is not only a statement of support – it is a commitment to the long-term strength and integrity of our profession.

I encourage you to take a moment to participate in this year’s election to choose a State Bar president-elect, State Bar secretary, and Judicial Council representative.

A slate of other leadership roles is also on the ballot, including seats on the State Bar’s Board of Governors.

Voting is quick and accessible: simply scan the QR code provided. Once you do, you will be asked to log in. If you are eligible to vote, you will see an option to click to access your ballot. Voting will be open April 9-24, 2026.

Your engagement matters. Each vote helps ensure that our leadership reflects the values, perspectives, and aspirations of the lawyers who make up this state bar. Please take the time to make your voice heard and help guide our path forward.

Thank you for your continued dedication to our profession.
