Building at a Glance
Location: 5302 Eastpark Boulevard in the American
Center Office Park on Madison's northeast side. The new facility is
easily accessed from Highway 151 and Interstate 90/94, allows
out-of-town members to avoid city traffic, and is located near various
support services, including restaurants, hotels, shopping, and other
leisure pursuits.
Construction Design: The Bar Center exterior is clad
in stone and masonry, features an engraved lintel supported by columns,
and is capped by a skylit dome. The interior reception area welcomes
visitors with a two-story naturally lit atrium that leads to functional
member meeting rooms and workspace. Louis Wasserman & Associates,
HSR Associates, and Bauer and Raether developed the innovative and
functional design.
Total Building Area: 40,000 square feet.
Parking: More than 200 free parking spaces to meet
current and future needs.
Interior Features:
- Readily accessible to persons with handicaps, with entrance ramps,
easy access to major meeting rooms located on the main floor, convenient
elevator access to other levels, and several spacious restrooms.
- Hands-on computer training center.
- Three adjacent assembly halls, each with a capacity of 60, that can
be combined to accommodate nearly 180 people for CLE seminars, Board of
Governors meetings, and other large State Bar gatherings.
- Three conference rooms, each with a capacity of 10, equipped with
videoconferencing technology for committee, section, and division
meetings.
- A large boardroom that accommodates 16 people.
- Office space for members to conduct depositions, hold client
meetings, and return phone calls while in Madison on business.
- An in-house printing, product storage, and shipping facility for
more efficient order fulfillment.
- An open central area conducive to social gatherings and networking
opportunities for members.
- Functionally designed staff workspace, resulting in greater
efficiencies and cost savings.
