Board of Governors Actions
The following State Bar Board of Governors' actions were taken at the
April 3 meeting in Appleton.
VOTED 32 to 8 to exercise the option at the American
Center, retain HSR as the design/build firm and authorized the
Facilities Committee to spend funds to secure a new State Bar
Center.
SELECTED Bauer and Raether in connection with HSR as
the design/build team for the new State Bar Center and authorized the
Facilities Committee to enter into a contract with them.
ESTABLISHED a fund-raising committee for the new
State Bar Center to study the tax-deductibility contribution status for
donors and to conduct a funding campaign.
SET the Keller dues reduction for FY99 at $8.
ELECTED Governor Nathan Fishbach as chair of the
board for next fiscal year, beginning July 1.
AMENDED the Nonresident Division Bylaws.
SUSPENDED State Bar bylaw article IV, section 6.
APPROVED creating the Energy and Telecommunications
Law Section.

and submit appropriate materials at least two weeks prior to the
meeting.
