Anthony S. Earl, Chicago 1961, has joined the advisory board of Alternative Planning Associates, which helps lawyers develop sentencing plans and alternatives for clients. Earl is retired as a partner in the Madison office of Quarles & Brady LLP and was Wisconsin governor from 1983 to 1986.

William Grant Callow III, U.W. 1977, has been appointed Honorary Danish Consul of the state of Alaska by the Queen of Denmark. He also was honored as Outstanding Lawyer of the Year by the Anchorage Bar Association.

Michael F. Hupy, Marquette 1972, was honored by the Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship at its annual banquet in November for his service to the organization and passion for improving the community. He is president of Hupy and Abraham S.C., Milwaukee.

Christopher Krimmer, U.W. 1997, was named 2007 Volunteer Attorney of the Year by the AIDS Network and also received the 2007 Executive Director's Award in recognition of his support of the network. He is with Balisle & Roberson S.C., Madison.

R. Timothy (Tim) Muth, Harvard 1986 magna cum laude, has been inducted into the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society whose members are selected based on effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and superior ethical reputation. He is with Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c., Milwaukee, and focuses on representing actuaries and other financial professionals.

Melanie Stinson Newby, Cincinnati 1974, received a Life Member Award from the National Association of College and University Attorneys at its annual conference in San Diego. She retired as vice chancellor for legal and executive affairs at U.W.-Madison.

Glenn M. Stoddard, U.W. 1994, received the Good Citizen Award in October from the John Muir chapter of the Sierra Club for his pro bono work on behalf of the organization. He is a solo practitioner in Eau Claire.
