Therapeutics Inc., Palo Alto, Calif., as vice president-legal, licensing 
and contracts. She also has released her debut compact disc, "Open Air,"

Thomas G. Cullen, Marquette 1986, has been named 
managing attorney of Wisconsin operations for Attorneys' Title Guaranty 
Fund Inc., Madison. He previously was a staff attorney with the

Jeffrey B. Bartell, U.W. 1968, has been appointed to 
the UW System Board of Regents. He is a partner with the Madison office 
of Quarles & Brady LLP and focuses on corporate and securities law, 
insurance regulatory and administrative law, and general business 
law.
The Chippewa County Bar Association has elected the following 
officers: president - Teresa A. Germain; and vice 
president and treasurer - Jessie Klumper, both of 
Chippewa Falls.
The Eastern District Bar Association has elected the following 
officers: president - Scott J. Campbell; vice president 
- Dean A. Strang; second vice president -

Sara Elizabeth Dill, Marquette 2005, has been 
selected as the young lawyer representative on the ABA Criminal Justice

president-elect of the Wisconsin Association of African American 
Lawyers. He practices criminal defense, municipal finance law, and

Robert L. McCracken, U.W. 1974, of Nash, Spindler, 
Grimstad and McCracken LLP, Manitowoc, was elected to a three-year term 
on the board of directors of Motorists Mutual Insurance Co., Columbus, 
Ohio.
The Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association has elected the following 
officers: president - Micabil Diaz Martinez, Madison; 
president-elect - Carmen M. Ortiz-Babilonia, Milwaukee;

treasurer - David A. Westrup, Milwaukee.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court has selected three circuit court judges 
to serve as chief judges for their judicial administrative districts, 
effective Aug. 1. The Hon. J. Mac Davis, Michigan 1976, 
Waukesha County Circuit Court, will succeed the Hon. Kathryn W. 
Foster as chief judge of the Third Judicial District. The Hon. 
John R. Storck, Harvard 1979, Dodge County Circuit 
Court, will succeed the Hon. James Evenson as chief 
judge of the Sixth Judicial District. The Hon. Sue E. 
Bischel, Minnesota 1978, Brown County Circuit Court, will 
succeed the Hon. Joseph M. Troy as chief judge of the 
Eighth Judicial District. The court also reappointed two chief judges, 
the Hon. Gerald P. Ptacek, Marquette 1974, Racine 
County Circuit Court (Second Judicial District) and the Hon. 
Dorothy L. Bain, U.W. 1989, Marathon County Circuit 
Court (Ninth Judicial District).
Peter M. Wolff, Marquette 2002, has been elected to 
the Waukesha County Board of Supervisors. He is with Law Offices of

Authors, Speakers
James J. Casey, Jr, Dayton 1988, published Mayor 
Frank P. Zeidler: Transportation Development in Post-War Milwaukee, 
which covers Zeidler's transportation policies and initiatives 
(highways, mass transit) while mayor from 1948-1960. This book is 
available through the American Public Works Association. Casey is 
executive director of sponsored programs at Cardinal Stritch University, 
Milwaukee.

Sheriff | 
Thomas R. Homberg, Marquette 1996, and James 
A. Sheriff, Duke 1979, both with the Milwaukee office of 
Godfrey & Kahn S.C., have become Wisconsin state editors for 
HouseLaw, a legal reporting service for mortgage lenders, brokers, and 
other housing finance professionals. Homberg is a member of the 
financial institutions practice group, and Sheriff is leader of the 
group.
Tomislav Z. Kuzmanovic, U.W. 1988, was a moderator 
for the National Leadership Conference of Bosnian and Croatian 
Americans, held in Chicago in March. He is a trial lawyer in the

Award for teaching and research at the Institute of Peace, Leadership,

E. Michael McCann, Georgetown 1962, is the first 
recipient of the
E. Michael McCann Distinguished Public Service Award, given by the 
Milwaukee Bar Association to an attorney or group that exemplifies 
outstanding public service. He is Milwaukee County District 
Attorney.

The Hon. Mark A. Mangerson, Valparaiso 1974, has 
been named Judge of the Year for 2006 by the Wisconsin chapter of the 
American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He is a judge on the Oneida 
County Circuit Court, Rhinelander.
Melany Stinson Newby, Cincinnati 1974, received the 
2006 Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Cincinnati 
College of Law. She is vice chancellor for legal and executive affairs 
at U.W.-Madison.
William Rosenbaum, U.W. 1950, was honored by the 
Rotary Club of Madison as the Senior Services Guest for his 
contributions to the Madison community. He is retired from Stafford
