    Volunteer and Networking Opportunities in Milwaukee

    Construction and Public Contract Law Section

    The Construction and Public Contract Law Section invites you to save the date for Revitalize Milwaukee. More details will be announced soon, so stay tuned for updates about this upcoming community‑focused event.

    June 11: State Bar Annual Meeting and Conference – Free for Students

    Join us in La Crosse for this year’s Annual Meeting and Conference on Thursday, June 11, 2026, for a night of networking, awards and more. Tuition is free for students.

    Judges and Young Lawyers Division Members Social Hour: 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

    This exclusive reception offers law students and young lawyers a unique opportunity to connect with judges in an informal setting. Attendees will have the chance to engage in conversation, ask questions, and make lasting impressions.

    Refreshments and appetizers will be provided courtesy of the State Bar Young Lawyers Division. A cash bar will be available.

    Member Recognition Celebration: 5:15 – 7 p.m.

    Join us as we recognize recipients of the Outstanding Public Interest Law Student Awards:

    Marquette and University of Wisconsin Law Schools Alumni Reception: 7 – 8 p.m.

    Connect with alumni from Marquette University Law School and the University of Wisconsin Law School who were once in your shoes. This reception provides an excellent opportunity to hear career stories, ask questions, and begin building relationships that can extend beyond law school.

    La Crosse Queen Sunset Riverboat Cruise: 8:30 – 10 p.m.

    Cost: $20 per person.

    End the day with a sunset cruise on the Mississippi River aboard the La Crosse Queen, a classic paddlewheel riverboat. Enjoy scenic views, refreshments, and time to unwind with fellow attendees in a relaxed social atmosphere.

    State Bar Section Board Student Liaison Opportunities

    The State Bar of Wisconsin Sections are groups of attorneys who practice in specific areas of law. Several Sections are seeking student liaisons to serve on their boards.

    As a student Liaison, you’ll have the opportunity to:

    • Attend board meetings, provide brief updates, assist with planning events, and write blogs.
    • Connect and network directly with attorneys across Wisconsin.
    • Explore career paths and build relationships that can support your professional goals.

    Apply by June 15, 2026, for the 2027 year.
