    State Bar Elections: Electronic Ballots are Due April 28

    Help set the direction and policies of the State Bar of Wisconsin by voting in the upcoming elections. Look for your email ballot. Here's what you need to know to cast your vote.

    April 5, 2023 – This month, State Bar of Wisconsin members elect a president-elect, a treasurer, a Judicial Council representative, district governors, and division and section officers and board members.

    State Bar election ballots are emailed by the second Friday in April. The election closes at noon Central time, April 28, 2023.

    To ensure you receive your State Bar election ballot, add noreply@directvote.net as an approved sender in your inbox. This prevents the ballot from being identified as spam.

    Please note: If you have placed any holds on emails from the State Bar, you may not receive an electronic ballot. Contact Customer Service at (800) 444-9404 to verify that your account is set up to receive your email ballot.

    State Bar members with no email address on file will receive paper ballots. Paper ballots will be mailed April 12, 2023.

    Candidates for the State Bar Board of Governors

    The State Bar of Wisconsin’s Board of Governors influence the future of the State Bar as well as set its policy direction. Your vote for these candidates will make a difference in the future of your practice and your profession.

    State Bar members will elect Board of Governor representatives during April. The Board of Governors is the State Bar's policymaking body. Governors serve two-year terms.

    Districts 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15 will elect governors in 2023. District 2 (Milwaukee) elects seven, District 9 (Dane) elects three, and all other districts elect one.

    Meet the State Bar Board of Governors’ candidates for two-year terms that begin July 1, 2023. By district (see the District map), the candidates are:
