Reporting directly to the Associate General Counsel, the Managing Legal Counsel will work collaboratively and respectfully across departments to provide a broad range of contract services for Gundersen Health System and its affiliates. Managing Legal Counsel will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 4 contract services staff. This position will draft, review, and negotiate contracts and related documents to empower Gundersen to improve outcomes, efficiencies, and the experience of care within the parameters of law. Ideal candidates will have strong excel skills, knowledge of pivot tables and V-Lookups, and experience with a contract management database.
Education and Learning:
REQUIRED: Juris Doctor (JD) degree
Work Experience:
REQUIRED: A minimum four years of experience handling general health care, business, and contractual matters
License and Certifications:
REQUIRED: Licensed to Practice Law in the State of Wisconsin (LPL) or eligible for in-house exception
