    Associate Attorney
    Kramer, Elkins & Watt, LLC (“KEW”) is looking to add an Associate Attorney to our team. Do you have an interest in making your mark with a growing firm? If you are looking for a position in a dynamic, forward thinking, fast paced law firm, this opportunity is for you!

    KEW is comprised of three partners and three support staff members that work hard to serve our clients by implementing practical legal approaches and working to perfect the best procedures to fit our growing firm. We collaborate often to engage all members of the firm and find this often produces the best results for our clients. We also enjoy getting to know each other outside the office and building firm culture through social engagements.

    KEW handles employment and transactional work for businesses; represents individuals and business in litigation matters involving breach of contract, complex commercial disputes and other matters; represents landlords in all matters including evictions; and practices family law.

    The Associate Attorney will work in all of KEW’s practice areas but can expect to focus primarily on litigation matters which will include court appearances, research, and writing memoranda, motions and briefs.

    Our ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of experience in the practice of law. Experience working in civil litigation, including courtroom experience, is required. Successful candidates will have the ability and willingness to network, write blogs and generate business for themselves.

    Additional skills a successful candidate will have include:
    • Demonstrated competence in persuasive writing
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a variety of settings, particularly in the courtroom, with clients, and in networking settings
    • Ability to explain complex legal concepts to persons outside the legal field
    • Commitment to excellent client service and meeting client expectations in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
    • Capacity to handle matters independently and also collaboratively with the firm’s partners and staff.
    • Interest in participating in firm-related events, including social events

    Candidates with an established full or partial book of business in practice areas that are the same as or complement our existing practice areas are preferred, but a book is not required.
