A final decision could be years away; so, for the time being, it's business as usual for IOLTA programs. But what of the future? Will Wisconsin's program survive or be disbanded? On what grounds? Greenberg on Greenberg: Further Defining the Duties of a Land Contract Vendor

TheGreenberg court concluded that to the extent real property was conveyed to the vendee under a standard land contract, the vendor did not retain any ownership other than the bare legal title. The governing statute in this case did not define "ownership"; thus, the court had to determine what combination of sticks or rights, less the whole bundle, constituted ownership.
