Green Lake County Bar Challenges Other Bars

The Green Lake County Bar Association issues a challenge to every other local and specialty bar in the state. At its recent board meeting, the association's members unanimously agreed to contribute to the State Bar's "Building the Future" fundraising campaign. The association's contribution has helped reduce the debt on the new Bar Center by $3,200, earning it an entry on the new center's recognition wall.

The 100 percent participation by its members has inspired the Green Lake County Bar to challenge other bars in Wisconsin to do the same. The State Bar will recognize all organizations that achieve 100 percent member participation in support of the fundraising campaign regardless of the size of the donation.

The Bar's new facility, scheduled to open next summer, will accommodate Bar meetings and CLE programs, and provide hands-on technical training and office space for members when they are in town on business. The new location is more accessible for members and provides hassle-free parking.
