    Two Wisconsin Congressmen Announce Retirement


    Sept. 11, 2019 - Two Wisconsin Congressmen have recently announced their upcoming retirements.

    • Congressman Sean Duffy, representing Wisconsin’s 7th District, announced on August 26th 2019 that he would be retiring from Congress on September 23rd. A special election will be held to replace his seat, with a date to be selected in the near future by Governor Tony Evers.

    • Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner, representing Wisconsin’s 5th District, announced on September 4th that he will not seek re-election at the end of his current term (ending November 2020). At the completion of his 21st term, Congressman Sensenbrenner will have served for longer than any other elected official in Wisconsin’s history.
