Madison, WI – The State Bar of Wisconsin is recognizing Axley Brynelson, LLP for its generous donation to the 2014 National High School Mock Trial Championship, which will be hosted by the State Bar in Madison next May.

The State Bar and its charitable arm, the Wisconsin Law Foundation, have set a $200,000 fundraising goal to help cover the cost of venues, awards, activities and materials for participants, who in recent years have hailed from 46 states, Guam, the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, and South Korea.

Axley is being honored as an Officer of the Court level sponsor ($1,000-$2,499).

“National Mock Trial contenders spend all of their spare hours learning the rules of evidence and procedure. They try their cases before judges, doing everything from direct and cross examination of witnesses to closing arguments,” said Attorney Lori Lubinsky. “As litigators, we are thrilled to support young people as they learn about our profession.”

Attorney Lubinsky encouraged other State Bar sections, law firms and individuals to donate.

“National Mock Trial is an opportunity for young people to learn about issue analysis, public speaking, and advocacy, which will help prepare them for careers in law or any path they choose,” said Lubinsky. “On behalf of the entire Axley team, I urge State Bar members, local businesses and individuals to invest in these incredible students by making a donation to National Mock Trial 2014.”

Want to make an investment in young people and become a donor today? Just visit and select the Donate Now button. All donations are tax deductible. Checks can also be made out to the Wisconsin Law Foundation and mailed to PO Box 7158 Madison, WI 53707-7158 (make sure to write National Mock Trial in the memo line).
