MADISON, April 25, 2005 - Madison attorney Steve Levine has officially been named president-elect of the State Bar of Wisconsin after winning a statewide election of Wisconsin lawyers.  Levine will serve as President-elect for one year beginning July 1, 2005.  He will then take office as president of the bar for a one-year term July 1, 2006.

"I feel grateful and honored to have been chosen by my fellow lawyers as State Bar President," said President-elect Levine.  "The election results seem to indicate that Wisconsin lawyers want some important changes in the bar and the legal profession, and over the next three years I'll do my best to help bring about those changes."
