McNulty Receives Distinguished Law Foundation Award
Local attorney is presented with the 2001 Charles L. Goldberg Award
MADISON, August 16, 2001 - The Fellows of the
Wisconsin Law Foundation recently presented the 2001 Goldberg Award to
Truman Q. McNulty. The Charles L. Goldberg Distinguished Service Award
is presented to a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin who has a
long-standing record of service both to the legal profession and to the
public.
McNulty, a member of the Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. law firm in
Milwaukee, earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School in
1948. He served three terms as a member of the State Bar Board of
Governors, and spent one year as a member of the Bar's Executive
Committee. In 1978, McNulty was elected President of the State Bar of
Wisconsin. McNulty is also currently President of the Board of Trustees
of the Fellows.
The purpose of the Fellows is to assist the Wisconsin Law Foundation
in carrying out its objective of making gifts to charitable or
educational programs which promote public understanding of the law,
improvement of the administration of justice or other law related public
service.
Such programs have included Law Related Education including the High
School Mock Trial program, Community Adolescent programs, Community
Justice Task Forces and legal education publishing.

The State Bar of Wisconsin is the mandatory professional association,
created by the Wisconsin Supreme Court, for attorneys who hold a law
license in Wisconsin. With more than 20,000 members, the State Bar aids

to educate the public about the legal system.
