von Briesen & Roper: First Top Flight Law Firm

All law office lawyers become members of the Wisconsin Law Foundation

MADISON, July 19, 2006 - Wisconsin Law Foundation Board of Directors President Kathleen Grant of Wausau announces that the von Briesen & Roper, s.c., firm in Milwaukee is the first "Top Flight Law Firm" for successfully recruiting 100 percent of its firm attorneys as members of the Wisconsin Law Foundation.

"The Wisconsin Law Foundation created the Top Flight Law Firm classification as a way to highlight each firm's dedication to the Wisconsin Law Foundation and its mission of enhancing the law through education and service," said Grant. "This new category of giving established this past summer will not only increase membership in the foundation, but will also enable the foundation to continue to make important grants to valuable law-related charitable programs in the state."

von Briesen & Roper, s.c. is a 100-year-old Milwaukee-based law firm with offices in Milwaukee, Madison, Racine, Kenosha and Mequon. The firm provides legal services to businesses, institutions and individuals, with an emphasis on matters involving banking, bankruptcy, corporate law, estate planning, health law, Indian law, labor, litigation, risk management, and real estate.

The Wisconsin Law Foundation established three categories of Top Flight Firms: firms with 50 or more members, firms with between 10 and 49 members, and firms with less than 10 members, including solo firms. The majority of funds contributed to the foundation each year come from lawyers designating a gift to the Foundation on their State Bar of Wisconsin dues statement.
