The Bench / Bar Committee is looking for qualified candidates for its Wisconsin 1998 Judge of the Year Award and its 1998 Jurist Lifetime Achievement Award. The awards are presented annually. The Bench / Bar Committee is looking for qualified candidates for its
Wisconsin 1998 Judge of the Year Award and its 1998 Jurist Lifetime
Achievement Award. The awards are presented annually. The deadline for
nominations for the 1998 Bench/Bar Committee 's Judicial Awards is

The Judge of the Year Award is presented at the State Bar Midwinter
Convention in January. The Bench / Bar Committee recognizes a judge who
has exceeded the call of the judicial office and who has improved the
system in some fashion during the past year.
The Jurist Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual
who has demonstrated outstanding judicial service during his or her
years as a sitting trial judge, active reserve judge, or retired trial
judge. To be eligible, the nominee must have at least 12 years of trial
experience.
