"Avoiding the Road to Perdition," a seminar sponsored by the General Practice and Law Practice sections, is scheduled for Sept. 27 in Minocqua from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This live only program, endorsed by the Solo and Small Firm Practice Committee, gives practical advice on avoiding malpractice, employment law, recreational property issues, succession planning, and more.
This year's program also offers a "forms exchange" including templates for spreadsheet applications as well as word processors. Submit forms in electronic format to Tina Nodolf by Sept. 13 to be included on a single CD that will be provided to each attendee.
Director of the Office of Lawyer Regulation Keith Sellen is the luncheon speaker. This one-day seminar concludes with a reception providing the opportunity to chat with State Bar President Pat Ballman, President-elect George Burnett, Past President Gerry Mowris, Executive Director George Brown, and others about how the Bar can better meet the needs of solo and small firm practitioners.
Program tuition is $69 for General Practice section and Law Practice section members and $84 for nonmembers. Lunch and the reception are included. The program will be submitted for CLE credits. Onsite registration begins at 7:45 a.m.
