It's not too late to join the ranks of volunteer attorneys who offer
their time and expertise to help influence important issues facing the
profession today. Last month, Inside the Bar contained an insert
describing this year's available opportunities to participate on the
State Bar's standing and special committees.
"Although committee service takes time and dedication, it has been my
experience, and that of many others, that the privilege of serving our
profession and the public is worth far more than the time it takes,"
says President-elect Pat Ballman. "If you haven't already, I urge you to
take a moment to review the committees. Perhaps you're the expert a
committee is looking for."
The deadline to submit a show of interest form is March 31.
