    June 2, 2011 – Gov. Scott Walker is seeking applicants for five circuit court judicial vacancies and has extended the deadline for filing several other judicial appointment applications.

    June 2, 2011 – Gov. Scott Walker is seeking applicants for five circuit court judicial vacancies and has extended the deadline for filing several other judicial appointment applications.

    Applications are requested, by June 21, for appointments to circuit courts in Calumet, Milwaukee, Wood, Eau Claire, and Menominee-Shawano counties to replace the following outgoing jurists:

    • Calumet County Circuit Court Judge Donald A. Poppy (effective June 25, 2011)

    • Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Francis T. Wasielewski (effective Aug. 1, 2011)

    • Wood County Circuit Court Judge James Mason (effective June 29, 2011)

    • Eau Claire County Circuit Judge Benjamin D. Proctor (effective June 29, 2011)

    • Menominee-Shawano County Circuit Court Judge Thomas G. Grover (effective June 24, 2011)

    To apply, interested individuals should submit a Judicial Application, together with a cover letter, resume (not to exceed two pages), and a list of three to four references. Submit completed application materials via email to judicialappointments@wisconsin.gov no later than Tuesday, June 21, 2011.

    The governor’s office also announced a deadline extension, to June 21, for judicial vacancies in the Second District Court of Appeals, as well as the Manitowoc, Outagamie, and Richland county circuit courts.
