Our Gratitude To You: Helping Us Build Resilience in Challenging Times

Cheryl Furstace Daniels & Larry J. Martin

With Thanksgiving 2021 upon us, this year has proven to be more challenging than we had hoped, as the pandemic lingers, and we are still finding our way to keeping everyone as healthy as possible while moving forward. To keep building the resilience we all need to make our way, we want to lean on our gratitude to support us on this journey. While we are grateful as we see new prevention and treatments for Covid-19 unfolding at breathtaking speed, to help all of us in the long-term, we also are grateful to so many within the Wisconsin legal system, who are assisting all of us to map the way forward. And we hope you may find your gratitude for all those who keep assisting you moving forward in your practice, and help you build your resilience in 2021 and beyond.

We are grateful to every staff member of the State Bar, who have continued to work tirelessly, both at the Bar Center and at home, to serve all members as we continue to make needed changes to events and meetings.

We are grateful to those who keep giving in pro bono service, in making financial contributions to legal services organizations and the Wisconsin Law Foundation, and in volunteering within the State Bar, selflessly helping to better our legal system.

We are grateful that the State Bar has been able to maintain its financial stability, and to the many members who are working with staff on long-range planning needed to continue to be a strong, stable, and resilient partner.

We are grateful to the justices, judges, administrators, staff, and attorneys working in the Wisconsin Court System, who are building in the best practices learned in the pandemic that will help all court system users.

And we are grateful to you, all of our members, who are collectively the State Bar of Wisconsin, proud and dedicated to delivering valued professional services to a dynamic and diverse society and promoting access to justice.

    Thankfully,

Cheryl DanielsCheryl Daniels, president of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Larry J. MartinLarry J. Martin, executive director for the State Bar of Wisconsin.
