Nov. 7, 2018 – Do you know a senior lawyer who has made significant contributions to the legal community, shows a love for the law, and demonstrates high ideals and personal character in their career?

If so, please nominate this lawyer for the Senior Lawyers Division 2019 Leonard L. Loeb Award.

“We ask that you please consider a senior lawyer you know for nomination for this award,” said Dean Dietrich, president of the Senior Lawyers Division (SLD).

The award honors senior lawyers (60 years of age or older) who have made significant contributions to advancing and improving the legal system through their legal career and community volunteer activities.

“Nominations are due before Feb. 8, 2019, but we ask you to please think about this now and make your nomination as soon as possible,” said Dietrich.

The SLD will present the award at the Member Recognition Celebration on June 13, 2019, during the State Bar of Wisconsin Annual Meeting and Conference in Green Bay.

Award Criteria

Nominees considered will demonstrate the following:

• significant contributions to the legal community;

• respect for the legal system and a love for the law and what it seeks to accomplish;

• high ideals and personal character;

• involvement in community organizations; and

• participation in local and State Bar activities.

Senior Lawyers Division officers and board members are ineligible for nomination.

Send Nominations by Feb. 9

Send a letter of nomination, a resumé or similar document of your nominee’s qualifications, and three to five recommendation letters from individuals who are knowledgeable about the nominee’s qualifications that address one or more of the award criteria.
