    Thursday Workshop: Combating Your Own Implicit Bias

    On Thursday, learn how to identify risk areas where implicit biases may affect your behavior and judgment, and learn how to avoid acting according to biases that are contrary to your conscious values and beliefs.

    The CLE workshop “Fairness for Families: Insights from Implicit Bias, Racial Anxiety and Stereotype Threat” will be presented by Rachel Godsil of Perception Institute of New York and attorney William Snowden of the Vera Institute of New Orleans.

    CLE sessions on Friday and Saturday end at noon each day, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy Door County.

    The Family Law Workshop is held at the Stone Harbor Resort and Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay.

    Register before July 2 for the special rate of $119 per night on selected rooms for attendees. The rate will be honored for reservations for attendees two days before group arrival and two days after group departure based on availability.

    To receive the special room rate, contact the Stone Harbor directly at (877) 746-0700 and mention that you are part of a group room block under the State Bar of Wisconsin – Family Law Section.

    Four Ways to Register

    Program tuition is $230 for members of the Family Law Section. Section members attending for the first time pay $205. Non-section members pay $305. Non-section members can join the section for $40 and register at the section member tuition rate.
