    Earn More CLE with Free Webcasts after the Institute

    There’s no need to worry if you are having trouble deciding between two sessions scheduled at the same time: select breakout sessions will be recorded and webcast for later viewing by Institute attendees – all at no extra cost.

    Institute attendees can attend the first two webcast days absolutely free. Catch the sessions that didn’t fit into your schedule, check out one in another area of interest, and earn additional CLE.

    Earn CLE and EPR credits as you select the combination of topics to best fit your practice needs, then kick back and relax with your friends and colleagues during the cocktail reception. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to find your happiness with an optional CLE luncheon on Thursday that will help you find and identify your perfect work-life balance.

    Here’s a look at a few of the sessions you’ll find in the full schedule.

    • A Look at Emerging LGBT Issues & Trends in Employment Law – Some of the most significant and quickly evolving issues in employment law are those of LGBT employees. Danielle Bailey of Cross Law Firm S.C. and Jennifer Mirus of Boardman & Clark LLP will address the development of law on anti-discrimination protections, benefits, and the interaction of state and federal laws to help you identify key issues and provide effective representation.

    • Retail Health Clinics: Innovations in Drive-Through Health Care – Retail health clinics are popping up all over, but are they meeting expectations? Barbara Zabawa with The Center for Health Law Equity LLC will discuss the legal risks and opportunities these types of clinics present.

    • When Disaster Strikes! How to Ensure Compliance in Crisis Management from a Health and Employment Law Perspective ­– Daniel Finerty of Lindner & Marsack S.C., Tom O’Day of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C., and David Laatsch, senior director of strategic planning with Aurora Healthcare, will prepare you to face the worst. They’ll provide insight on how you can prepare for and manage legal compliance with HIPPA, OSHA, and ADA mandates when hurricanes, pandemics, and more land a hospital in the eye of the storm.

    • The Slipperiness of Happiness: Can Attorneys Capture Well-Being? Everyone wants to be happy, but what does that mean, exactly? Can lawyers ever truly be happy? Don’t miss our optional CLE luncheon featuring Dr. Gregory Van Rybroek, director of Mendota Mental Health Institute. He’ll help you understand what factors contribute to lawyer happiness and empower you to determine what happiness means for you in your career and personal life.

    CLE and EPR Credits

    The Institute’s CLE sessions will be submitted for general program approval by the Wisconsin Board of Bar Examiners for up to 12 CLE credits including up to 1 EPR credits. It will also be submitted for Minnesota CLE credit.
