    Governor Seeks Applicants for Eau Claire County and Appeals Court Judicial Vacancies

    June 1, 2015 – Gov. Scott Walker is seeking applicants for judicial appointments to the Eau Claire County Circuit Court and the District II Court of Appeals.

    District II Court of Appeals: The new appointee will replace outgoing District Judge Richard S. Brown, whose resignation is effective August 1, 2015. The new appointee, should he or she choose to run, would be up for election in April 2017. Those applying must submit their application materials no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015.

    Eau Claire County Circuit Court: The new appointee will replace outgoing Eau Claire County Circuit Court Kristina M. Bourget, whose resignation is effective June 12, 2015. The new appointee, should he or she choose to run, would be up for election in April 2016. Those applying for the Eau Claire County judicial post must submit their application materials no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.

    To apply, interested individuals should submit a judicial application (scroll to the bottom of the page to find the MS Word application link), together with a cover letter, resume (not to exceed two pages), a list of three to four references, and two writing samples.
