Candidates Wanted for 2014 State Bar Officer Elections

Aug. 21, 2013 – The State Bar will elect a president-elect, a secretary, and a Judicial Council representative in 2014. Members wishing to be considered for one of these offices should email a letter of interest to jmarks@wisbar.org or mail to Jan Marks, State Bar of Wisconsin, P.O. Box 7158, Madison, WI 53707-7158, by Oct. 15.
The State Bar Nomination Committee, which will be appointed at the Sept. 27-28 Board of Governors' meeting, will announce its slate of candidates by Dec. 15.
State Bar members also can make officer nominations by filing a petition signed by 100 active Bar members with the State Bar by Feb. 3, 2014. For an officer petition, contact Jan Marks at (608) 250-6106, or (800) 444-9404, ext. 6106.
