2016 Wisconsin Solo & Small Firm Conference

Aug. 3, 2016 – Thinking about attending the 2016 Wisconsin Solo & Small Firm Conference in October but can’t muster the funds?

The Solo/Small Firm & General Practice Section is offering scholarship grants to help Wisconsin solo and small-firm attorneys with the cost of conference registration.

Attorneys who find that a financial hardship is a significant factor in preventing them from attending the conference should request a grant to cover the conference fees. All requests will be treated confidentially.

Preference for the scholarships will be given to solo practitioners and small-firm attorneys who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference due to financial constraints. Scholarship winners are responsible for their own travel and lodging costs, but the section will pay their conference registration fee.

To fulfill the mission of the Solo & Small Firm/General Practice Section, scholarship recipients are expected to “pay it forward” through future volunteer service by assisting with conference planning and/or serving on either the section board or a board subcommittee.

Recipients will be notified by Sept. 19 so that they have enough time to plan to attend the conference.

    To Apply

Complete the application by Sept. 4 and send to Scholarship Committee Chair Kathy Brost:
