WisBar 101: Make "Photo Not Found" Message Disappear in Your Lawyer Search Profile

    Photo not found

Make the "Photo Not Found" message go away and increase your visibility in the legal community.

Sept. 18, 2013 – When your colleagues look at your profile in the most-visited feature on WisBar.org – and likely the most-visited online directory of Wisconsin lawyers – will they find a 'Photo Not Found' message?

Increase your visibility within the legal community by enhancing your profile through WisBar's Lawyer Search. Add a photo, your biography, courts of admittance, other licenses, social media links, and website URL to your profile. Your expanded profile also includes current State Bar activities, such as section, division, and committee memberships, which automatically display (unless you choose to hide them).

    Sample Profile Display

    WisBar expanded profile

The “Basic Profile: Public View” is denoted by the small red bracket. The “Expanded Profile: Viewable by Legal Community (After Logging In)” is denoted by the large red bracket.

Members Get Exclusive Access to Expanded Profiles

After logging in to new WisBar, members can access Lawyer Search’s expanded lawyer profiles. Your photo also displays on committee, section, division, and leadership rosters.

While most of these enhancements are visible only to the legal community, searches conducted through the public view display a lawyer’s basic profile (shown above), which includes a photo and website URL, if the lawyer chooses to add these features.

    Editing Your Profile Is Easy

To edit or add to your profile, log in to WisBar.org, myStateBar, then select myProfile. Look for the Advanced Profile section, and add the desired information. Photos display shortly after they are uploaded; however, other new information displays on WisBar within 48 hours. Return to WisBar to update your profile as often as you like.
