How can attorneys know if their digital presence online and on social media is performing? Lindsay Marty, a legal marketing expert, shares what lawyers and law firms need to know about business analytics.
Sept. 6, 2023 – Thirty years ago, ads for attorneys in the Yellow Pages, on billboards, and even sometimes on TV were plentiful. What was lacking was a way for attorneys to learn whether those dollars were well-spent.
That’s no longer true, according to Lindsay Marty, owner of Above the Bar Marketing.
“There’s lots of new technology to track the source of every single call and lead,” Marty said.
Marty said that makes it easier than ever to track how clients find out about a law firm, “so you can make decisions about your marketing.”
Marty is one of two panelists scheduled to present on “Business Analytics for Your Law Firm” during a session held on Thursday, Oct. 19 at the State Bar of Wisconsin’s annual Wisconsin Solo and Small-firm Conference (WSSFC).
She said that while many attorneys struggle to balance attracting new clients with representing existing ones, doing so is essential to success.
“It’s not something they know right away,” Marty said. “especially if they’re just hanging out their shingle.”
