    3 Reasons You Should Attend the 2022 Equal Justice Conference

    The Wisconsin Equal Justice Conference returns Thursday, March 10. Find out more about this 6.5 CLE credit event, which is happening both on Zoom and in person.

    March 2, 2022 – What are the three primary reasons you should attend the 2022 Wisconsin Equal Justice Conference?

    Reason #1: It returns on Thursday, March 10, after a three-year pandemic hiatus. Panelists will be talking about access to justice issues, including the pandemic’s impact.

    “This conference is a great opportunity to gain insights into justice issues in our state,” said Karen Bauer, director of the Eviction Free MKE, an initiative of the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee. Bauer is speaking at the conference.

    Reason #2: You can attend in person or online. Ready for in-person events? Register today – there are a limited number of people who may attend in-person in Madison. Not ready or can’t travel? Sign up for the webcast seminar: This conference is primarily a virtual event on Zoom.

    Reason #3: It’s a great way to gain 6.5 CLE credits for $25. Also, there is no charge for law students to attend.

    The Primary You Should Attend the Wisconsin Equal Justice Conference

    The Wisconsin Equal Justice Conference brings together members from the private bar, public interest law, law schools, and others to share information on topics related to access to justice for low-income Wisconsin residents.

    The 6.5 CLE credit conference covers a range of timely topics for 2022 – from the pandemic and racial justice, to Afghan resettlement in Wisconsin, and more.

    The conference explores these topics:

    • eviction prevention and defense in Wisconsin;
    • pursuing racial justice and racial equity in legal aid;
    • legal efforts to assist with Afghan resettlement in Wisconsin;
    • marketing and communications for legal aid;
    • understanding and improving rural access to justice; and
