    Season of Giving: Please Remember the Wisconsin Law Foundation

    In this season of giving, we ask for your support for the mission and work of the Wisconsin Law Foundation. Our efforts are ambitious, but we cannot do it without your support.

    Dec. 21, 2022 – These are uncertain social and economic times. Civic understanding of the role of our courts and the rule of law are in decline, a generation of leaders in the legal profession and in our communities are retiring, and large portions of Wisconsin citizens struggle to access justice.

    This is where your Wisconsin Law Foundation is stepping in.

    How is the Law Foundation making an impact? We are:

    • expanding grants to new lawyers who choose to work with underserved populations;

    • engaging high school students on the rule of law and civics through our High School Mock Trial program;

    • developing a new generation of lawyer leaders in service to both the profession and our communities;

    • all while promoting innovative programs that strengthen our justice system.

    Our efforts are ambitious, but we cannot do it without your support. Your commitment to our work is critical if we are to continue to fund these worthy projects across Wisconsin. I urge you to join me in supporting the critical work of the Law Foundation by making an end-of-the-year contribution today by visiting wisbar.org/wlfdonate.

    The Law Foundation needs your support now more than ever.

    Your end-of-the-year support will help us, as we continue to position the Law Foundation to respond to the need to promote civic understanding, leadership development, access to justice, and programming that raises up greater diversity and inclusion.

    In the past few years, the Law Foundation has been able to respond to the increased needs of many community organizations because of your generosity. Your support allowed us to sustain many essential programs and services that make an impact in our communities, programs such as:

    • Wisconsin State High School Mock Trial Program;

    • The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County;

    • Centro Legal – Family Consultation Program;

    • Briarpatch Youth Services Inc. – Restorative Justice Program;

    • Sauk County Family Law – Family Court Clinic;

    • Crawford County’s teen court program;

    • Milwaukee Justice Center - providing family law assistance and advice;

    • ABC for Health, Inc. – helping families with medical debt;

    • The Catholic Multicultural Center – immigration legal services to refugees; and

    • Wisconsin Teen Court Association’s Restorative Justice Summit.

    Find out more about these programs in this InsideTrack article from Aug. 17, 2022.

    We are able to respond to these needs because of the past generosity of donors like you. Your support now will empower us to be able to continue funding critically needed programs and services at a time when the need for them has never been greater.

    Please join me in supporting the Wisconsin Law Foundation, and together we will make a real difference!

    Thank you for your consideration and best wishes for a happy, safe, and healthy holiday season. To donate, visit wisbar.org/wlfdonate.
