Feb. 2, 2022 – Dr. Michele Statz, an anthropologist of law, discusses her research on rural access to justice issues in the upper Midwest. Statz, who will present at the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Equal Justice Conference on March 10, said that economic and demographic forces have combined to erect barriers to legal access for rural populations. According to Statz, those barriers increasingly entail significant impacts on public health.
