    Hearing Order 21-06: Court Security, Facilities, and Staffing

    The Planning and Policy Advisory Committee Court Security Subcommittee filed a rule petition asking the court to update SCR Chapter 68 to incorporate updated standards for courthouse construction, renovation, technology, and to better define county-level security and facility committee responsibilities.

    Hearing Order 21-06: Court Security, Facilities, and Staffing

    On Oct. 21, 2021, the Planning and Policy Advisory Committee (PPAC) Court Security Subcommittee filed a rule petition asking the court to update SCR Chapter 68 to incorporate updated standards for courthouse construction, renovation, technology, and to better define county-level security and facility committee responsibilities. The petition also seeks to clarify the process for collecting data associated with court security threats and incidents.

    ORDER ISSUED: Aug. 23, 2022

    DISPOSITION: Public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, beginning at 9:30 a.m., in the Supreme Court Hearing Room in the State Capitol, Madison, Wis.
