    Order 20-09: Location of Court and the Use of Videoconferencing Technology

    On Dec. 11, 2020, the Director of State Courts filed a rule petition seeding to amend Supreme Court Rule 70.19 and various statutes pertaining to the location of court and to the use of videoconferencing technology. The court solicited written comments and held a public hearing on April 7, 2021, via videoconference. The court then discussed the petition at a series of closed administrative conferences and did not reach consensus on a number of the proposed changes.

    ORDER ISSUED: June 1, 2021

    DISPOSITION: The court returns the petition to the petitioner, without action.
