    Dec. 2, 2020 – Charitable organizations are being hit hard this year, at a time when their work is needed more than ever. This includes your Wisconsin Law Foundation. Like so many other charitable groups, the Wisconsin Law Foundation faces a significant hole in our fundraising efforts this year.

    When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the Law Foundation saw a dramatic increase in applications for our Truman Q. McNulty Grants. These grants support charitable or educational programs and projects in communities across our state that promote greater understanding of the law and improve the administration of justice.

    To meet this increased demand, the Law Foundation increased grant funding by 33 percent, providing $24,400 to be quickly invested in worthy programs. This rapid increase in critical funding helped to preserve or expand crucial programs across the state.

    The Foundation was able to respond to these needs because of the past generosity of YOU. Your generous support empowered us to sustain these needed programs and services and make an impact in our communities.

    Donating to the Wisconsin Law Foundation now ensures your gift will make a difference. If you are in a position to do so, please support the critical work of the Wisconsin Law Foundation by making an end-of-the-year contribution today.

    As the charitable arm of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Law Foundation promotes public understanding of the law, and supports creative programs that have a long-lasting, positive impact on Wisconsin youth and adults.

    Your support will empower us in 2021 to:

    • support programs that promote greater diversity and inclusion within the State Bar and the legal profession;

    • help local community programs navigate the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic;

    • provide scholarships to help new attorneys reduce law school debt and enable them to establish practices in underserved areas;

    • support special teen court programs that use positive peer influence to reduce teenage crimes and help keep adolescents from re-entering the juvenile justice system; and

    • bring the law to life for 1,400+ high school students through the Wisconsin High School Mock Trial program.

    These are just a few of the programs that are able to grow and flourish due to the generous support of Wisconsin Law Foundation donors.

    No contribution amount is too small. Through grants, awards, and scholarships, the Foundation uses every single dollar to transform the lives of Wisconsin residents and support critical public education projects and public service projects. “Thank you again for considering the Wisconsin Law Foundation in your charitable giving. Together, we can keep the Foundation going strong and make a difference during these difficult times,” said Peggy Herlitzka, Foundation president.
