Young Lawyers Division hosts breakfast on Nov. 7 in Green Bay

Oct. 7, 2009 – The State Bar of Wisconsin Young Lawyers Division (YLD) is hosting a “Meet and Greet” breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Green Bay for division members. Membership in the YLD is automatic for attorneys who are either under 36 years old or in their first five years of practice following admission to the State Bar of Wisconsin.

The breakfast will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Best Western Midway, 780 Armed Forces Drive, Green Bay.

“We hope that many young lawyers will be able to attend and participate in this social, networking event,” says YLD president Nick Vivian, Stillwater, Minn. “The board will meet immediately following the breakfast and extends the invitation to all members to stay for the board meeting.”

The YLD has two primary objectives, to assist young and new lawyers in the practice of law and involve them in public service. The division also holds a seat on the State Bar Board of Governors and makes recommendations on issues affecting the practice of law and the administration of justice, particularly on how these issues relate to young and new lawyers.

For more information about this event or the YLD, contact State Bar liaison Kris Wenzel at (800) 444-9404, ext. 6185, or (608) 250-6285
