    The Wisconsin chapter of the American Corporate Counsel Association has elected the following officers: president - Jacqueline J. Ertl, Milwaukee; vice president - Pamela M. Patzke, Madison; secretary - Patricia M. Hanz, Milwaukee; and treasurer - Donald F. Kiesling Jr., Milwaukee.

    The Wisconsin Supreme Court has appointed the Hon. Kitty K. Brennan, U.W. 1977, to serve as chief judge of the First Judicial Administrative District. Brennan serves on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, to which she was first elected in 1994.

    The Brown County Bar Association has elected the following officers: president - Carla O. Andres, Green Bay; president-elect - Robert R. Gagan, Green Bay; secretary - Phillip J. Danen, DePere; and treasurer - Angela J. Olson, Green Bay.

    The Douglas County Bar Association has chosen the following officers: president - Stephen J. Olson; president-elect - Harley L. Prell III; and secretary/treasurer - Karry A. Aspinwall, all of Superior.

    Federal Defender Services of Wisconsin Inc. has appointed Michael Lieberman as the first resident federal defender for the Western District of Wisconsin. Lieberman, previously an assistant federal public defender in Alexandria, Va., will represent indigent criminal defendants.

    The Green County Bar Association has selected the following officers: president - Tara K. Kleinhans; president-elect - Brian D. Bucholtz; and secretary/treasurer - Todd W. Schluesche, all of Monroe.

    Mary B. Grossman, Loyola-Chicago 1997, has been appointed as a Chapter 13 Standing Trustee for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

    Pro Bono, Public Service

    Attorneys from the Wisconsin offices of Foley & Lardner LLP have raised more than $17,000 for Sarvodoya, a Sri Lankan tsunami relief organization. Leading the effort was Morten Lund, Yale 1995, a partner in the business law department in the Milwaukee office.

    Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c., Milwaukee, has donated the hours in-kind of shareholder Robert E. Meldman, Marquette 1962, to the U.W.-Milwaukee Low Income Taxpayers Clinic, where Meldman works as an executive in residence with graduate tax students. He is with the firm's tax department, focusing on general, domestic, and international business transactions.
